Meet Dr. Nkrumah
Within just four years at Yale, Dr. Nkrumah obtained both his Bachelor’s and his Master’s degrees in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. He graduated with honors, a recipient of the David Chandler Award. He subsequently earned his MD and PhD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NYC, receiving the prestigious Dean’s Award. He spent his residency in otolaryngology at Johns Hopkins and his neurological surgery residency at Emory University Hospital. Dr. Nkrumah completed his fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center.
By providing compassionate neurosurgical and spinal care at Nkrumah Neurosurgery & Spine, he takes pride in restoring his patients’ health and confidence. He is a fellow of AANS (American Association of Neurological Surgeons), and CNS (Congress of Neurological Surgeons) and is published in microbiology, immunology, and genetics. Dr. Nkrumah lives on Long Island and in his spare time enjoys soccer, martial arts, and relaxing with family and friends.
